Got an XFX 512MB GTS 250 atm, and i would like a better card that can handle higher graphics settings on games, the card I have atm struggles to handle certain games on maximum settings..
I'm basically looking for advice. Which is the best card to get under £180, that is noticeably better than my gts 250?

Well if you can push £40 more the best bet would be a 5850 but atm there is not much in that price range a 5770 is not that much of a upgrade compared to gts 250 give or take 20% faster keep the money and wait

At £200 yes. But for the XFX HD5830+AVP bundle...if thinking the AVP game as £20, the the card itself is £169.99. HD5850's price has creep up to £230-£250 on average now...

Considering it's a 512MB version, you'd get £40-£55 max I think...but there'll always be idiots that don't know better paying more for it on the bay...

That 250 defo looks like the weak link in your system, 5850 is your best bet, the 5830's just arnt worth the price atm.

You really must stretch to a 5850, it's so much better value than a 5830
