Anyone got a good guide for calibrating a TV for the best contrast, colour, brightness etc

Hopefully one with good hi-res pics so I can do it for my Xbox360.

I normally just aim for dark blacks and bright whites but would be nice to make sure I'm getting the best out of my HDTV.

Best bet is a DVE disc, put it in dvd player and calibrte from there. Also lots of dvd's have a THX optimizer thats not bad as a base - recent starwars and pixar films usually have it.

Or you can go semi expensive and get a hardware option like a spyder or a proper ISF calibration (someone comes round with lots of hardware and spends best part of a day setting it up) expensive tho.

If you use the dvd solutions in the 360 it will be a good base and then you can tweak when in game etc.
