Just use a little bit, if you use to much it will weigh down your hair. I would use the wax.

I'm not sure how short it is, but i find that if the hair is damp/towel dry it is easier to shape, so i'd recommend washing it then using some styling gel on it.

Rights well, here goes... this is how i do mine.

Wash mi hair in the shower every morning.

Come out and dry it... stick on all mi clothes and head back into the bathroom, by this time mi hair is still a bit damp which is the best way to style it.

Get some wax in one hand... and rub it in the other hand so it spreads about. Then just rub it on evenly on the hair. Now just use ya fingers to spike the bits up ya need to.

    It works a treat. :)

Oh and btw, the best stuff to use i find is Black and White.

    Hope this helps :)

@ hybrid, please stop saying 'mi', it's no shorter than type than 'my' and 'my' is massively less annoying. :)
