Old Boxters S have gone up as well though.

The standard ones are still cheap. A cheap Porsche just sounds like a huge gamble though.

I was quite curious about these, I think the engine rebuilds are £10,000 if the IMS bearing fails.

Managed to get it up on ramp and get some photos!

Bodywork looks clean, if you can get the underside treated and then coated in Bilt Hamber Underbody or similar, it should last a fair while longer. I don't think MX5s were ever undersealed in the UK, despite the weather we get here.

Yea the plan is to get it under sealed now.
Products and advice appreciated!
My friend who works at the garage can get it on the ramp!

Basically after a shopping cart of everything needed and rough price so I purchase and leave him all the kit as he said he will do it for me.

Can't fault any of the Bilt Hamber stuff.

I use Hydrate 80 to convert/treat the rust:

You can use Dynax S50 to fill sill cavities, and other box cavities on your chassis:

And use their underbody product to coat areas you have previously treated with Hydrate 80:

Hope this helps!

Yep, anywhere theres a cavity, get something injected, it's that that will get you when the drain holes block etc and it rots from the inside.

Dinitrol, Hammerite, Bilt Hamber all do decent products and places like Rejel do complete kits.

Although a local place did warn me of throwing rust proofing in to every cavity as you can block drain holes which will cause bigger headaches than leaving it with the factory underseal - not sure if this was NC specific but it's obviously worth thinking about with the drains on the NC.

That's pretty impressive  Was that on a NB?

I suppose this is what kills MX5 ownership then, I had a lot of rot on my Triumph Spitfire, I had to get rid, regret it now!

Yep, it was an NB Sport I bought thinking it had been restored....

By the time I realised, I had about £5k of mods into it.

I've been trying to build an Exocet out of it for 3 years now, but mental health issues and a lack of talent have made it a long process
