Do you have normal room lightning, or do you prefer darkened room?
Untill we get proper FALD backlights IPS just isn't good for darker room.

Again while VA's way higher contrast shines in giving good looking image in dark environment, as rule they have "challenges" in dark colour transition response times.

I play in a well-lit room with a large window to my right.

So weakest area of IPS certainly doesn't show, while you might pick up VA's horizontal gamma shift.

To really be upgrade would be just better to get 32" instead of 27".
Unfortunately for some inexcusable reason it's like panel makers lost knowledge how to make anything between 27" and big 50" TVs and there are very few high refresh rate monitors in 32" size.

Acer Predator XB323UGP might be only available model with quite recently released AU Optronics panel.

First of all forum rules forbid naming/linking to OcUK's competitors, so you should remove that link.
Second there's no sense in getting Nvidia's proprietary synced to butt monitor for ball and chain marriage into being their slave in future graphics card choise.
Besides AMD's return also Intel is readying to become third player in discrete GPUs.
And third that's Twisted Nematics panel with plain horrible double overpricing.

Apologies. Your three salient points are duly noted.
