Yeah, don't ask, this stupid program seems to have taken over my PC...

I've uninstalled the program itself, also the IE toolbar, however I can't get rid of a few IE qwirks it's adjusted.

When I open a new tab it comes up with some ICQ rubbish instead of a blank tab, how do I change it back?

When typing a search term into the address bar (instead of the search box) it now defaults to icq search instead of google search like it used to (the search box is unaffected), how can I change it back?

    This is with IE7 btw.

Flippin ICQ should be classed as a virus, I hate to know what else it's changed...

Can't you just do a system restore to a point before it was installed?

Good point, that may work. However there must be a way to change the two things back without doing a restore?

I will do that if there isn't however. :)

I'd check which add-ons are installed.

Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Programs Tab -> Manage add-ons.

Check to see if there are any ICQ programs still active. That may help.

Unfortunately there didn't seem to be anything there. Instead I just decided to roll back a couple of days and that has done the trick. :)
