He doesn't, £500/600 will do it and he can upgrade as he needs to. Just get a Ryzen/Coffee Lake-capable system and you'll have headroom for a fair while (esp with Ryzen

How much would this cost?
I5 3470 or 2400
8gb ram
H61 motherboard
Gtx 660 2gb
500 gb hdd
(got a 500 watt psu for 10 dollars)
Ill just use my current case.

I meant to say i was gonna replace everything and start building piece by piece if budget is not enough.
