Help needed

Hi All, I am looking to buy a compact to carry with me all the time upto a value of £250 but after looking around my head is spinning coz even just the canon range there seems to be lots of different models that seem to do more or less the same thing. So i have decided to listen to the voice of experience so what compacts have you all got ,what do you make of them & why do you like them.

Fuji F10 or F11 would be what I would recommend.

You can also look at the equivalent models in the Panasonic range. The ones with image stabilisation are supposed to be pretty good.
