Think he might be out of luck there - IIRC it'd have to be a native PS3 application (the same way Folding@home is) to have access to the Cell processors.

Unless of course I'm woefully out of date on the state of Linux on the PS3 (entirely possible).

Edit - OK, it's just the RSX part, and there's a hack for that (provided you don't update firmware).
