Hi guys, looking for some advice and guidance please. I've been asked to price up a simple studio for work - budget £500. As I only have experience taking shots with a couple of 430's on light stands I'd appreciate some advice from people that have studio kits and could recommend options to investigate.

Main purpose of studio will be to produce head & full length shots of people involved in agency presentations for clients. Shots will feed directly into our graphic design team and I won't control the editing so would like to get things right in camera.

We don't have a dedicated area for the studio so it needs to be collapsible and given the junk in the office I am hoping to include a background + supports in the cost. What's peoples views on a simple white paper for the background?

Shopping list looks something like this so far:

2 x 80cm Dual silver/white umbrellas (or 1 softbox & 1 umbrella? )
2 x Studio Flash heads
1 x background support ( 2 stands + crossbar )

Am I on the right track here?

maybe a lastolite background would be good for your situation ?

Thanks, I'll have a look at that as an option.

Pay someone else to do it?

Don't worry, I suggested they pay me as the first option :D
Unfortunately most presentations get done last minute & the photography needs to fit around peoples schedules. Having a in-house option is best for flexibility on this..
