Is there something else...

Which is the latest out of these 2 monitors above and which would people say is better. I KNOW there are better than these but, I am on a budget - Ideally under £200 or as close to as possible.

I would prefer 4K UHD.
Size 27-34"

IPS Panel

I would like curved and 21:9 but, as said I am restricted by budget and also want to maintain 1440p as minimum although prefer 4K.

Do you think prices will come down before xmas ?

I dont mind about the 5ms response time or 60hz - although 100hz + would be nice. However I dont game too much and want correct colours for photos etc.

If you have the GPU to run it, then go for the LG as the Philips doesn't have Freesync.

Your options open up more if you can get get to around £300 though, with the LG 27UL650, 27UL550, 27UL500 and Acer Nitro VG270K. These would be better monitors, but appreciate you are on a budget. There is also the LG 32UK550-B which is a VA panel but a rather good one in terms of colour accuracy. Plus 32" is far better suited to 4K than 27".

You won't get 100Hz 4K at this budget. Deals might be had around Black Friday, but no telling at this stage.
