Hey All! My Hiper PSU recently kicked the bucket, I want to check if it was still under warranty. The PSU was purchased from a well known retailer on 6th October 2006. I looked on Hiper's website to see if they could still help me out somehow but I could not find any way of contacting them. http://www.hipergroup.com/home.php Do I contact the said retailer or Hiper direct, if Hiper direct, does anyone know a way to contact them? Cheers Ash
Sorry mate, change your post becasue you have listed different compeditors which is against the rules. Welcome to the fourms I would contact hiper direct to see if they can help you with anything.
Nice and helpful there. Hiper went bust on the 4/8/09. Not sure what is happening with the rma's. You'll be hard pressed to contact them i think.
What was your Hyper PSU model? If it was the 580W type R, I suggest giving it up as a lost cause. Have a look at this and this thread. Even if you did successfully RMA the PSU, you would just get back a Hyper PSU - which IMHO isn't worth the risk. If you need a PSU now, I suggest buying something good from either corsair, PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic, Antec, Be Quiet or OCZ.
If Hiper have gone out of business, why is their website still active (I checked a couple of weeks ago & it was down but its now back up again)
You could try the SoGa route, but if Hiper have indeed gone bust I don't know of how much use it would be unfortunatley
Good. My Hiper 550W psu blew and took out my P4 motherboard last week (Good job it was only in my p4 and not a newer system). With regards to the motherboard, it still gives a picture and shows memory etc, but hangs in BIOS now
it's a shame the internals were so poor the presentation and the modular bits were fantastic , I'm sure everyone has a Hiper toolbox
The toolbox was great! As bledd says, they looked great, modular worked well and the case was wonderful. Why couldn't they sort out the internals... :'(
