I'm playing about with this old system I've not used for a while and never got round to overclocking. I've done a little research and apparently these were never that great, but comparing results I've seem to have gone beyond what was normally expected.

I was aiming for 2.6GHz from the stock 2.2GHz (200x11) where most people could only get 2.4GHz.

At the moment I have it stable at 2.48GHz (225x11) @ 1.55Vcore with a low of 41 Degrees and a high of 54 Degrees.

I'm currently using a stock cooler from an old Phenom II x4 955 which isn't the best I know (only other free cooler I have is a Xilence AM2 HDS).

Where do I go from here?

I could go down the route with a x9 but is it worth risking as I'd probably have to go to 1.65V?

Cheers
