lol at some of these replies. I know that its highly unlikely, but the point is there is so much speculation around that the things could have easily been covered up. Also, one thing that I find a bit strange, wasn't Eva and Hitler burnt? In which case why isn't that skull? But it's interesting to debate. :)

Hitler was a very frail man in mid 1945, he was on lot's of medication and possibly had Arthritis. No way could he have escaped in that condition.

A very interesting read.

Whether or not you think its a load of rubbish the point still stands, even now there's a lot of antagonism around Nazi Germany and what happened, many people would like to know what happened and based on the amount of books written on the subject, thats indisputable.

While we're on the matter of escape, its highly unlikely that he did 'escape', although I do think theres a possiblity of being escorted away, after all, theres been so much mis-information over the years its as if someone wants to hide something.

Also, don't forget that the Nazis had supporters on either side, its not inconceivable that someone from 'our' side aided or looked the other way. Again highly unlikely but not impossible. The question in that case would be, where did he go, because by that point he'd have to have the most known face in the world.

It does open up many questions, and I hope they do get answered, but I fear that some secrets will remain secrets.

Like others have said on here, I very doubt that he would have escaped, it would just be too risky & he would have probs been killed if he attempted to. They reckon that the skull couldn't have been from Eva Braun either as their was no record of her shooting herself or ever being shot after she died, she only died of Cyanide poisoning. Like they said it could have been anyone who was in the area during that time.

Who here has seen the film Downfall? Now I realise this is a film but it based on some fact. The film leads you to believe that Hitler and Eva are shot, covered up and set alight outside the bunker. But you do not see Hitler - even if you recognise Eva. It's a somewhat ambiguous ending, much like the reality.

He definitely had access to the outside world from his bunker and he could have escaped, with the help of some of his closest allies. I'm not saying it is likely but it was possible. I think there is too much speculation to rule anything out. I know it doesn't matter either way now, but I do find it fascinating!

As I have already posted, Peter Mandelson (aka The Prince of Darkness) is in fact Adolf Hitler now finally succeeding in conquering Great Britain, apparently with the active support of the Poles

I have to say, that for a 120 year old man, thanks to Botox and transplant and plastic surgery, he does look remarkably good ;)

I dont believe this, with something as large and world changing an event as what Hitler did, or for that matter 9/11, people just dont want to believe it was either as simple as a group of 50 annoyed clever people who managed to highjack a couple of planes and a decrepit old man realising his insane plan had fallen down around his head, he'd be subject to the most intense and bias prosecution in history and decided the bottlers way out was easier.

People like Mengela and Eichmann, the other infamous Nazis who did manage to escape were nothing and nobodies in the public compared to Hitler, most of the people Mengele feared ended up dead in camps, and Eichmann was much more of a behind the scenes "I can order the murder of 6 million people, but I'm not touching one, you do it" sort of guy, I doubt many outside of a minority could identify him in a change of clothes and a haircut.

Whilst I fully believe Hitler did die that night, it's not an impossibility for him to have escaped. He did not have to escape on the 30th April 1945, he could have escaped long before and it be made apparent he was in that bunker.

Just because the Allies were knocking on Berlin's door, it does not mean the entire country of Germany was in lock-down. Many people (for example, the officers mentioned before) made their escape after the fall of Berlin. It would have been entirely possible to fly a plane out of the country without the allies noticing, which many of the escapees did.

How many everyday folk would honestly have recognised Hitler if he'd changed his hair, shaved, dressed differently etc? I think it would have been more than possible for him to escape and live in secret somewhere (not saying that I think he did - but it would be possible)
