its worth a try then. using four pairs would be the best choice if you want to get the best performance, but it would really depend whether the pairs are twisted.

Nope. Tbh you'll be looking at atleast 6 to 9 months before it hits the shops. By then they might have got off their butts and put 802.11N in the shops too, which might make it a bit of a non-runner.
