How do you change the colour of text in Photshop

    I click on the layer my text is on then click the text tool. I hightlight a pirce of text and then change it to blue using the control bar at the top. but it still stays white

    any ideas?

    Does it work if you change the colour before you type out the text?

    Sounds like you might have your image mode set to grayscale. Image > Mode > RGB color should do it.

    Have you already accidentally assigned that layer a style? Ie. gone and given the layer a colour overlay?

    Otherwise is the document set to RBG instead of grayscale?
