How to set up a server?

Does someone know how can I set up a server on mine computer?

I am connected to the router via RJ45 cable. Router has static IP, but mine pc get its own IP dynamicaly assigned by router.
Is there any way around this problem?

anyway, you need to forward the appropriate ports to your pc from your router.

if the router supports MAC to IP binding then this will help a great deal i.e PC always gets same IP address from router

I meant web server. I just want to host my own site and not to buy any external - in anyway my pc works 24/7.

I have Win XP Media Center Edition 2005. I guess it's based on Pro with some stuff added.

You can use IIS on your MCE and serve website from your PC.

Its what I have on my pc along with php5, mysql.
