Does anyone notice an improvement / reduction in perfromance when running HT in games?

3D Mark shows anything up to a 25% increase in CPU score when running HT but I was wondering if anyone has any real instances where it makes a difference?

Making the appropriate tweaks in the Oblivion.ini file made a fair difference for me.

Quake4 + patch 1.2 has up to 40% more FPS with HT.

Even more with Dual Core CPUs.

Its especially noticeable on the intro as that used to skip frames now its smooth.

You can also gain more AA & higher resolutions + still get smooth gameplay.

Just shows that more developers need to code for HT + Dual Core & not be so bloody lazy and just put out the unoptimised code most have been guilty of doing for many years now!
