    HI,

I want to buy a second hand camcorder, most probably off the bay. Its to take to a festival with me so I dont want something too pricey incase I lose/break it. I'm under the impression that mini-dv is the best format so I can take plenty of video and just come back and upload it to the computer.

Ive seen the JVC GR-DF460 going for about £100 or the GR-DVL167 for about £125. Are these good cameras? How many minutes can you store on Mini DV? What is battery life like on digi-camcorders? I've never purchased one before :)

    Thanks for your advice

    CP

Can't give details on those cameras but DV tapes will last about 60mins. The batteries will last about an hour on the display screen though will last longer on the viewfinder.

I have 2 DV cameras and bought them new; I paid about £200-£350 for them. So second hand I would expect half of that amount.
