i7 8700k Constantly at max clock speed.

Hey guys I got an i7 8700k a little bit ago and I can't get it to decrease the clock speed when not under a high load, It constantly runs at 4.4-4.7 Ghz. I am probably just missing some setting in the BIOS knowing me. When I disable Turbo boost it just stays at 3.7Ghz.

All I want is for the CPU to go back to it's base clock speed when not under load and then ramp up when needed. Any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated, all of the following images were taken right after booting up my PC and leaving it idle. I recently updated my BIOS and reset the settings.

My motherboard is the MSI Z370 SLI PLUS.

i'm on "normal" energy plan, oc to 4.8 and for what i see, my cpu is most time between 4.5 and 4.8

Thanks

"iirc" isn't a setting in the BIOS, it is just short for "If I Remember Correctly"

If you're seeing it idle, albeit briefly at 800Mhz, then everything is set correctly. It will only take a small load on the CPU for a second or less to increase the frequency.
