I went to look at a car during the first game and for the second game we took the kids to a museum at a priory - it was bliss as hardly anyone was about and those that were there weren't talking about football!

Wish the football haters would stfu. What’s with this superiority complex they seem to have over people who like football?

I've tried this world cup but only managed to last for the first half of our first match, it's just so boring watching trained acrobats diving around and spitting everywhere.

    This.

Also, the idea of having to work a weekend is abhorrent, how utterly ghastly.

Not as boring as listening to people moan about it.

They are not football haters they are England haters, and this thread reveals who the haters are.

Well yes, as I won't be at work until the following day and I can handle my drink?

Everyone whining about football, bore off. It would be like me going into an angling or cycling thread and chatting total nonsense. I have better things to do.

It’s quite strange how a lot of football haters are quite vocal about how much they hate it and anyone that likes it is inferior somehow

There’s a guy at work like this, ok we get it , you don’t like the game but stop trying to make everyone else feel miserable!

Personally I can take it or leave it, I’ve only watched bits of the matches but it doesn’t matter what sport it is tbh, it’s our national team representing the nation and for them to do well can only be a positive imo

Probably going to volunteer for a Sunday afternoon start (So I can be up in Scotland 1st thing Monday morning) because most of the drivers at work won’t want to do it.

Out of the few matches I’ve watched on tv during the World Cup, I’ve much preferred the ones I followed by listening to the radio anyway.
