If I had £50K, I'd spend 30 on a Subaru Spec C Type RA from Litchfield imports and put another £10K towards the cost of a Forester STI - again from LItchfields. Spec C for me and Forester for the GF and nipper :)

Funnily enough I am currently debating whether to throw 45/50k at one of these:

GT3 would be more fun but isn't practical enough for me, same goes for F355

I think I'd want a car that I could live with for a long time, so the idea of an ultra lightweight racer doesn't appeal that much. As such, probably a 911, or:

Might not be the best car out there for performance, but would be wonderful to live with (until you had any bills).
