I've been trying to get Vista Ultimate to index my music folder so I can quickly search through them but no matter what I try it always shows up with no resutls for everything :o

    Anybody have any ideas?

Check that .mp3 is being indexed (or .flac etc) [advanced>file types]. Also, go to modify>'show all locations' and check your music folder is enabled.

Just reinstalled Vista, and was surprised by the lack of disk thrashing its been doing.

Checked the Indexing Options and it only listed these:
    Internet Explorer History
    Start Menu

So have added all my partitions now to be indexed. But my question is has it always just been the above two enabled by default?
