Hi guys,

Could someone help with the following, i want to install a new mixer shower as the old one broke, but the two pipes coming out the tiles are very loose. The one on the left pulls out and in, so its not secure to screw a new shower onto.

Are there any brackets that i need to install to help strengthen?

If i screw the new one directly onto them, the mixer bar would just wobble!

Any advice welcome!

they normally screw into the tiles for stability. the pipes are meant to have some give to stop them from snapping and leaking everywhere. obviously not huge amounts but enough to make installation easy.

There was some form of concrete around the pipes / holes in the tiles which broke away as a unscrewed this mixing bar, never seen an installation like that before!

I'll look at some of the fixings listed above, cheers!
