installing os on laptop

    hi,

    im planning on getting a laptop in a few months, and will want vista on it when it comes out, is installing an os on a laptop the same as a desktop?

    and what do i do for the drivers? dont think they will come with the laptop will they??

    Pretty much exactly the same.

    Drivers will either be built into Vista or available from the laptop manufacturers website.

    Nothing overly complicated.

    I'd image that most of the HW in the laptop will have drivers built in.
    Things like Biometric Readers and non-common HW might need drivers though. But they'll probably be quickly available.
