    £200 for a dual core, ouch.

    An i7 on i5 socket for £310, may as well get the i5 750 for £130 or i7 860 if you need HT.

    AMD 6 core would also be worth looking at.

    unlocked multiplyer...would that give it better overclocking abilities than the others?

    It can do, but to be honest it can depend on your board and RAM.
