yes bin the case and enjoy the phone

I’ve binned the case - but it is still intermittently playing up, working one minute then not the next. V strange...

When it’s not working get Apple to test the NFC sensor for presence.

Sounds like another hardware issue to me

Not ideal at all. It works, but inconsistently at best. The proximity sensor isn't working properly either (screen doesn't dim when you hold the phone up to your ear on a call) and the lightning port is a bit dodgy.

Not impressed. I've complained to the insurance company so will see what they say. At this point I'm considering making-do with this one until the 12 comes out, selling this 8 plus and binning the insurance.

Is it ?
We've never had an issue with the proximity.
Although tru-tone info has to be taken from the original screen or the phone and programmed in to the chip on the new screen, but thats the same on all iphones from 8 onwards

I’ve never found a display for the 8 series with prox working properly - even the ones ifixit supply
