Ok I've got an iPhone sat here (Not sure if it's the 3G or 3GS, any well to tell?) and I'm having a few issues with this...

Yes it's upgraded to 3.1.

I know there was a full thread on here about unlocking these bad boys but is this now talk that can't be had on OcUK?
