    Hi there.

Someone is trying to scam my brother over ebay, well i think. I need some advice.

They used the buy now option, but my brother says there is no money in his paypal account. They have sent two emails.

The first is telling him this....

Your Payment for Item no.8829130481 has been processed.Due to the fact
that the buyers shipping address is outside the United Kingdom. In this
regards we have adopted a policy.Your are required to send the item to
the buyer and send the shipment tracking number to us for
verification.Your Paypal Account will be credited upon the receipt of the
shipment tracking number.Do not send the shipment tracking number to the

The second email is saying this.

    Dear ***,

This is a second and final notice to notify you that your payment has
been recieved for ebay item no.8829130481.You are required to ship the
item and send to us the Shipment Tracking Number for verification of
shipment. This is neccessary beacuse the buyers shipping address is
outside the United Kingdom. We hope to recieve the shipment tracking
number within 24 hours or you will be facing a possible suspension on
ebay and paypal for improper conduct. We want honest merchants on ebay.
Thanks for using paypal for your online auctions.

Edit : They send fake payment email before, hence why it doesn't show up in the account.

They make it look like extra has been paid, so you ship fast to make sure it gets sent before you notice it is a fake e-mail

Does it even need to mention Nigeria for you to suspect a SCAM.

Report to paypal/ebay and file a not paid dispute.

That fact that you even need to ask the question staggers me tbh.
