is my ps3 warranty valid?

I bought a ps3 slim 320gb recently from a retailer. However I checked the receipt and there is nothing on there stating my serial number or anything like that. So I'm a bit dubious about it.

Will Sony honour this warranty?

Also it was from a retail store, so they've only taken my name and not my Address.

As long as the receipt has the date and item of purchase you'll be all right.
