Is the X1900XTX DX10 compatible?

Like i said earlier. Get the X1900 XT.

I have one.. it clocked past XT-X Speeds with ease, ive got it running at default right now though purely because it doenst need to be any faster than it already is...

Yes the XT-X Might have these hand picked cores, the only major difference i knew of was better Memory on the XT-X which means it clocks better, it certainly isn't worth the extra money though, and the OP said that he doesn't overclock anyway.

that much is true, but mines a little different, doesnt like overclocking unless i up the GPU voltage and thats just worrying, annoying and difficult.

Yeah, I had the same problem, but you have to keep in mind that it doesn't just lower clockspeeds for 2D mode, it also lowers voltages.
