is there an Ip microphone no camera?

I have looked and looked but to no avail , need help please!
I would like to be able to listen in to a room in my workshop remotely over the Internet. Not for anything nefarious, ie. not for spying on anyone!
I know you can get ip cameras that have microphones, like baby monitors but is there such a thing as a microphone only that could go on the network and could be turned on remotely?

Alternatively is there a hub that I could access remotely that I could plug a mic into?

I use one of these in my home security system which I have upgraded by soldering a higher quality mic to the board. I use the Ispy program for my cameras which allows me to add a microphone seperately if I choose. As for remote access you will have to figure something out, but it should be pretty easy.

My surveillance system will never be connected to the internet, because I'm paranoid, and I use chinese cameras which can easily be hacked by a few tricks with the firmware upgrade function. Yes I tested my theory, yes it works.
