    will it run

    8800gt
    1* hd
    1* dvd

    will it have enough power?

    Easily, several people on here used to run that PSU with a Q6600 (with a small OC) with either an 8800GT or 8800GTS with ease :)

    justification of my "no".

    I had an Antec TruePower 450W and it failed to run:
    1x 7900GT
    1x e6300
    1x hd
    1x dvd
    1x cd

    I ended up replacing it with a 650W, which I'm still using with a 9800GT.

    There must have been something wrong with your psu then. The rig in my siggy plus a pair of sata ll hdd's, sata dvdrw, 5x fans and a Zalman ZM-MFC2 multifunction controller only pulls a max of 274w at the wall and that's when running Fur stability test and Prime together.

    my 380watt runs, 2-3 hdds, 1 i5, 4gb, 4 fans, hd4670 and dvd so id say yes to
