Gantz is centrist by Israeli standards, but still pretty hard line on Gaza, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. However, even despite this he's a lot more reasonable than Netanyahu and would be an improvement.

He does support the unilateral creation of a contiguous Palestinian entity on 65% of the West Bank, and a freeze on construction in settlements outside the major settlement blocs.

He also condemned Netanyahu's decision to bar Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from entering Israel.

Netanyahu has asked the Knesset to grant him immunity from prosecution for the corruption charges. His aim is to delay any trial until after the next election.

The courts will have their day and Netanyahu cannot dodge any longer.

Netanyahu and Gantz have joined forces to form an emergency government in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most ambitious crossover of all time?
