    R.I.P. Kayleigh - 13/05/2010

My German Shepherd dog Kayleigh, died last night aged 13.5 years old due to natural causes. We made the difficult decision to put her to sleep after witnessing how much she was suffering due to her spinal cord weakening and arthritis, but that wasn't what actually caused her death, the vet had trouble finding a blood pressure for her when we went to put her to sleep, so she would of probably died over night and wouldn't be alive today.

R.I.P. Kayleigh and here's a few pictures of her [Photobucket compressed them].

I bought her the following bed last Friday, cost me £200 and she never left it until her last moments.

This is her in Cornwall last summer.

This is Sky, the puppy we got after Easter, she's the future.

Sorry to hear mate. It's awful having to lose a dog. :( Remember the good times with her and focus on Sky, you'll soon feel better about it. You did the right thing. RIP.

    RIP bro.

I always wonder why I feel more saddened on hearing of a death of a dog than I do a human.....

    R.I.P Kayleigh!

My family have had several GSheps in the past, great dogs but seem to be prone with hind quarter problems and arthritis as they get older.

I'm not really a dog fan but German Shepherds have always struck me as a very handsome breed. 13 years is a good innings, remember the good times & look forward to the future.
