I write this in more of a hope it will be useful to someone else. I plan to return the laptop to dabs. It was openbox, bought yesterday and problems the same day.
The laptop crashes and freezes continually, I tried updating the bios, reattached the hdd, memory and cpu cooler(not wanting to do too much to void the warranty)
The problem seems either to be due to overheating or a bad connection(light flexing can cause a crash), something connected to the ati chipset. The problem however doesn't seem to be limited to this series many others seem to have a similar problem.
Fujitsu siemens has forums and amilo forums exist but the users don't seem to be getting much help.
Its a shame I don't really want to take it back, I paid 370 as it was open box and don't think i could get anything with these specs. I could send it for warranty I guess, don't know if it'll be replaced for a refurbished or fix the original tho.
Any ideas would be appreciated, ed
