I have a budget of £1k - £1100 and would like to get a new laptop for work for:
- software development (Visual Studio, Netbeans, SQL etc)
- web development
- occasional photoshop work
- some audio and video editing (this will be very light and not to frequent)
- probably will run Linux of the machine too
- I would like an SSD
- I am not a gamer but it would be nice to play a game or two if I decided too something like COD/ FIFA / BField etc
Not sure what the benefits are of it being a tablet as well as a laptop?
I was looking at these brands / models:
Asus
Dell XPS
Surface Pro
Seems XPS and Surface Pro are well overpriced for what you get
It is important to me that under load the fans don't go crazy.
What would you recommend? I have been out of the scene for a few years so not too sure what bang for buck is on laptops these days.
