Got a Dell Inspirion 1525 that is rebooting randomly, it does it in and out of windows.

It's done it whilst in the Dell self diagnostics and whilst booting into the diagnostics from the BIOS. I'm thinking CPU or RAM issue... I may have some spare RAM I can try somewhere but not until tomorrow.

    Any ideas?

It's probably got 2 x sticks in you can try it with 1 or the other, or its possibly over heating, is there plenty of air shifting out the heatsink vents?

Yeah, i'll do that - I'm at work haven't got any tools on me to take it apart.

Now that you've mentioned it, not much air moving at all... Interesting. I'll check tomorrow.
