So I turned my monitor on today and well, it looks the edges of the firefox url bar area, well sort of burnt in.
I didn't think it could happen on an lcd? I suppose techinically it's probably not burnt in, but I'm not sure how else to describe it.
Hard to take a photo, but can just about see the two lighter colour bars running across the screen. Top bar lines up with the top edge of firefox and the bottom one lines up with the bottom edge of the url bar.
So LCD's can burn in? if not what is it? Lines up perfectly with firefox, so doesn't seem random. Anyway to fix it?
Monitor is 4 years old, panel is 3 (already had a replacement under warranty). Definitely the monitor, switch inputs or turn pc off and the lines are still there on the grey no input screen. Monitor is an lg24gm77.
