Incredibly innovation from Aqua Computer - a negative pressure vacuum pump that has universal reservoir compatibility.

it's has several key features:

It will fill your loop (or flush it) with coolant by sucking it in then removing air with dearation.

It will uses negative pressure to stop your loop from leaking while telling you there is a leak.

it's got a OLED screen that provides key details about the loop, also offers a leak test function

Techpowerup calls it a serious innovation and the most fun piece of hardware it's ever had the pleasure of reviewing

Looks quite impressive, any details on expected costs?

"The Aqua Computer LEAKSHIELD launches today, as of the time of this review in two variants, with the standard option costing €119.90 (incl. VAT) or ~US$122 (excl. VAT) from the Aqua Computer web shop. The LEAKSHIELD UNIVERSAL, which might end up being called something else, will cost slightly more at €139.90 (incl. VAT) or ~US$143 (excl. VAT)."

And the leakshield looks amazing
Though there's a few things to note
If not on the aqua computer reservoir
You will need to spend some time with the software
As when not on their product it doesn't have data
Required to calculate how strong the vacuum has to be
Also it won't be as nice looking using the universal version
As appears you will be using a length of tubing
Between leakshield and reservoir
And the fillport part is an accessory
Though all said and done it's a very interesting product
Though I would like to see an adaptor allowing
Direct connection to other reservoirs
Though guess more information will start to appear about it
I only read one review so far
But basically I would like to be able to just screw it onto
My existing ek reservoir

I wonder how well it will work with soft tube. It does say this :

“All components in the cooling system must be qualified for the configured negative pressure. Especially soft, thin walled tubes are not suitable.”

I wonder if the EK duraclear 13/10 I’ve got in my system would collapse? It’s running to my external radiators, so can’t use hard line to connect it.

Yeah you would need to be careful
With soft tube
I am still using my years old primochill lrt
It's a really strong tube so would be no issues

Agreed the negative pressure likely would distort or even collapse soft tube which is all I use now personally for longevity reasons.

Nice and innovative idea but have never had a leak over the 10x builds I have done so not particularly something I’m too bothered about especially if it doesn’t work with soft tubing :/.

Wonder if they will do an inline version as i have a distroplate and no res
Think it should be possible
To use the universal version with a distro
Since people who don't have their reservoir
The universal version gets attached to the reservoir
By a length of tubing
So think a T piece and some tubing off the distro
Would work
Though wouldn't be a in one side out the other job
