Are they any good? Better than a ProLiant?

A salesman is trying to tell me they perform better than a proliant, anyone know if this true? I'm not so sure

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, no history, completely unknown quantity, can't be put in the same category as HP/IBM/Dell at all.

Also Lenovo haven't been owned by IBM for quite some time. I'm sure some of their product lines still show high quality IBM heritage but it cannot be assumed.

There's no product line for servers, lenovo bought the desktop and laptop business, IBM still make their own servers...

They're low end IBM boxes with Lenovo badges on them.

Probably re-badged IBM. Check what mobo chipset they are using and compare it to a IBM server is my advice.
