I bought a G29 steering wheel and omega apex wheel stand locally and it seems to have a little slack in the centre position compared to my sons ( brand new ) G920.

I also noticed that when self calibrating his goes back to the centre position where as mine usually stops around 7 degrees off. It doesn't seem to affect its use when driving but I'd like to know why it's like this. If it's wear or needs something adjusted?

Just wondered if anyone here had any experience of this?
Thanks

Does the 7 degree of centre position match with the size of the slack zone? I'd GUESS that your motor could be loose in the mount. Does it rattle when off? These things put some force on the plastic housing...

Sounds like it has slipped a cog or two.

Relatively easy to correct. Involves disassembling the unit and re-centering the motors cog on the line of teeth. There’s a few guides on how to disassemble the unit on YouTube.
