Looking to upgrade monitor 200 to 250 budget

Hello,currently have a 1440p 32" AOC Q3279VWF which is 75hz free sync.

I want a monitor that generally has a better quality image, not sure if it's due to DPI of 1440p at 32" but I just feel even with he's cranked up to max the quality of the picture is not a patch on my 55" 4k TV or even my 1080p 15" laptop.

I'm happy to downgrade size,maybe 28" or of 33 then 4k but depends if it'll fit in my budget.

I like good black quality so don't want to compromise on that.

I also sit about 2ft away from the screen

Any suggestions welcome.

Tbh i am surprised 1440p at 32 inches doesnt look that good.

I have a 4k tv and even at 1080p 120hz it looks amazing compared to my old 24 inch monitor.

I would go for a 27 inch 1440p monitor or a 4k 32 inch one, i know the lg monitors are supposed to be very good which is probably going to be my next buy.
