Checked the Evora options list to give us a 'rough' idea what to expect

Manual to Automatic £2,000
Metallic Paint £1,200
Premium Paint £1,500
Pearl Paint £4,000
Black Pack £2,000
Alloy Colours (No Cost) / Ultra Forged will be a lot more
Caliper Colours (No Cost)
Alcantara Steering Wheel £300
Interior Stiching Colours (No Cost)
Speaker Upgrade £400 (KEF will no doubt be a lot more, Porsche 10sp Bose is £800)

The Emira comes with a leather interior already, whereas the Evora doesn't.
Leather upgrade is £1,200. No cost difference for leather colours such as tan.

Cool, not knocking it but seems a bit of a sidewards move, did you not get on with the M2?

Oh I love the Comp, it's an awesome car. Fave thing I've had since my E92 M3. The Lotus is different though I think, and OMG it looks amazing. Also given what I'll save on a GT4 I can man maths a load lugger.

Surprised the point hasn’t been made yet, can get a V10 plus for not much more than what the Emira will be…

The cheapest R8, the V10 RWD, starts at £118k - without options. Not sure I can agree with your definition of "not much more" :). Unless you're talking second hand when, sure, but comparing new to old seems apples to oranges to me.

There’s lots of fantastic cars about that price range 2nd hand.
The cost of buying a 6+ year old V10 plus might be comparable but I’m not sure I’d want the potential bills of owning one.

I'd rather buy one of these than a used R8 though. The difference in running and maintenance costs will be huge. I bet these hold their value much better too.
