I know the Mac is far from a good platform for games but there are a few decent titles out there, not necessarly big name games such as Quake4 and Doom3. There are some decent shareware games out there, does anyone have any recommendations?

Bullet Candy

It's basically Asteroids but with drum 'n' bass and some funky graphics.

I play Unreal Tournament 2004 on my iMac and it absolutely rocks! I also have Sim City 4 and Homeworld 2 both of which look stunning on my 20 incher at 1680 x 1050 and that is with a poxy FX5200.

They will look even better when I finally persuade myself and my reluctant wallet to buy a Macbook Pro.

AJUK, you got intel iMac or Power PC ??
iMac G5 1.8GHz 20", 1Gb Ram, 160Gbs, BT and AP

I have to turn down some of the graphics features to play it smoothly at the highest resolution and I make sure nothing else is running whilst I play but overall my gaming experience on a Mac is very enjoyable.
