I know this is an issue that has been around for a long while but I just got my first Dell monitor and noticed my MacBook is outputting as YPbPr.
I have searched Google and now know a lot of people have experienced this issue.
However, I have to say I can’t see the difference between YPbPr and RGB. When I use the DisplayPort I can use RGB however over HDMI it obviously defaults to YPbPr.
As I say I see a lot of complaints regarding this issue but I see no difference - on mine anyway.
I guess what I would like to know is am I losing colour rendition on some level or has the whole issue been resolved to an extent?
I am also aware of the Ruby script fix however if I don’t need to do it then I’ll not bother.
