Does anyone have the Dell UP2718q? Mine is causing me lots of hassle with HDR. I am running a GTX 980ti and have the monitor connected via Display Port 1.4 as the HDMI port is only 2.0 on the GFX card and doesn't support 2.0a with the HDR meta data needed by the screen. DP 1.4 should support the HDR meta data needed by the monitor to function correctly.
If I turn on HDR in Windows 10 my entire screen turns to rainbows. However if I connect a laptop via HDMI and switch to that input, then unplug the laptop and have the monitor switch back to display port, then it automatically it works. When running HDR the monitor is mesmerizing and eye wateringly bright. Otherwise it is not a great investment for $2k. This is a really annoying way to enable HDR as it resets every time the monitor is turned off. Any ideas?
