Manage computer in AD - over a VPN

    hi all,

    ive got a small problem.

    im on my work VPN and trying to manage a computer ( move it from group to another) and i cant seem to do it

    it keeps coming up access denied.

    any ideas please?

    (i am an admin and have rights)

    Sorry mate but that's way to vague...

    When you say Group do you mean security group? Is this a local or domain group?

    When you say you're "on your vpn" are you at home?

    How are you attempting to make this change?

    I assume you mean trying to move a computer into another OU? In any case, just Remote Desktop to your domain controller and do it from there - that'll remove any authentication wierdness because of the VPN.
