You can ofcourse go higher but unless you have some really specific scenarios then 3,600 is more than enough.

This will be £199 if you wait a week or so. It goes off and on sale.

I hate to be that guy but is there any reason for specifically going for a 10850k when Zen 3 is like 3 weeks away?

Purely because its whats available at the moment. I may well end up waiting to see though.

I dont have a 3080 to put in it anyway for sometime :)

Ok so plans changed slightly.

going for an i9 10900k as the price has dropped enough for my not to wait for a Zen3

The Ram recommended above has been out of stock a while, has anyone any other suggestions?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £955.42 (includes shipping: £10.50)

I order a10850k on Monday and on Friday the 10900k drops to within 40 quid of it:eek::eek::mad::mad:.

1 tip @jamman my windows install was from dec 2019 and when switching over to this board i have to select csm not uefi on the boot option.
Otherwise it won't boot.

Just in case you have the same.

I wasnt even considering the 10900 before that. Odd the avengers version is cheaper than the stock version, witha game included too?
Thanks for the tip on the boot.
