Hey all.

I've been using 3200Mhz CL 14 B die memory 2x16GB since Zen 1 and through Zen 2. I'm currently running them an 3600Mhz CL 16 with a 3800X.

Given that I am going to upgrade to a 5950X and the ram sweetspot is rumoured to be 4000Mhz does this warrant a memory upgrade or is it possible my current sticks will hit 4000Mhz?

If I need to upgrade does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer 2 sticks of 16GB each so that I can add more if necessary in future.

Do you think the current sticks can hit 4000?
You can experiment on your 3800X. Try overclocking your ram to 3800 CL18, 4000 CL19 (2:1 fclk:mclk) to see if your memory can do that.
There are 3 variables to memory overclock on Ryzen. Sticks themselves, motherboard and CPU IO die. IO die on new 5000 Ryzen is the same, so results from your current setup will carry over.
Ignoring performance hit from running async of course.

The product page states they have overclock potential to 4000+ so I don't think it will be an issue, I have the 2X8gb version of that kit and that will do 4400 on my cheap B450.
